This is a re run of last offseason, just flipped to the offense.
Rick parted company with a bunch of defensive starters, and Zimmer said "We'll be fine.We like what we have" Fast forward to the end of 2020 and it was "We screwed up"
Now we have Zimmer saying he wants to see "More of the same" on offense,so Rick cuts the best linemen with no viable option on the roster.
You think Cleveland can handle LT?
He will get destroyed.
Here's 3 takes from 3 different scouts on Ezra Cleveland:
Joe Marino:
Kyle Crabbs:
Drae Harris:
His best tape was against the football powerhouse Hawaii.
His worst tape was against FSU.
Oh,and just something else to think about. Here are some of the pass rushers he'll likely have to contend with:
Khalil Mack
TJ Watt
Joey Bosa
DeMarcus Lawrence
Myles Garrett
JJ Watt
Trey Flowers.
That's 7 of the top 10 from 2020

Ezra Cleveland should be appealing to offenses that employ a zone run blocking scheme, where his lateral mobility and range can be taken advantage of. With that said, he leaves much to be desired in terms of power which limits him in the run game and he works overtime to anchor against power rushers. He is modest when using his length and playing with extension and NFL defensive linemen will likely have no issues working into his frame to dictate reps. There are other technical concerns with his set points but getting stronger and adding mass are critical to Cleveland reaching his ceiling at the next level. Cleveland has swing tackler appeal for zone schemes, but adding more functional strength is required before he can be viewed as a starter.
Needs to continue to develop his frame and become a more powerful player — worried right now that he doesn't have the threshold of strength to be an effective pro. He's got plenty of room to grow on his frame as well — so may just need an incubation period.
Everything looks pretty good until you put a body on him. He'll get pushed around too easily and get bullied at the point of attack by heavy hands, causing him to hinge, turn or lose leverage too easily. Catches hands and doesn't have the core and lower body strength to squat and hold ground.

In the NFL he is a backup Right Tackle. He needs to get stronger in his lower body. He has sufficient swing potential giving him positional flexibility and adding value. I do believe with improved strength; he could develop into a starter in the right system.
