The 2 things I'm far and away most interested in going forward is what else the Team does in FA and how early (and often) they target O-Line in the Draft and how quickly does Klint open up the passing attack in games where the ground struggles early.
If Minnesota ever comes out flinging the ball around early to back Defenders out of the box to open up the run I might think the Rapture has arrived!
San Francisco faced the Chiefs in the Owl 2 years ago and neither team had a single IOL that was anything other than Average individually. sh*t, some of them were journeymen. How'd they get that far? Good enough Tackles and Playcalling that kept DCs guessing.
Could this finally be the year Minnesota protects its IOL by not being incredibly predictable? If not (and I don't see why Klint will be any different than his predecessors) then Rick needs to nail the Draft and add another piece via FA, even if it's a risk like Schwartz. He probably needs to do that anyway but better playcalling can elevate interior play.
With that said, some slight adjustments could take this offense even further. Most importantly, the Vikings need to pass the ball more often within the scheme, specifically on second down. They were maddeningly run-heavy on both second and short and second and long this season, to the detriment of their offense's success.
Giving Cook plenty of touches is understandable, given his talent. But no running back, not even Cook or Derrick Henry, can be as efficient or explosive as their team's passing attack. The Vikings can keep the same scheme, but they need to modernize their approach in certain situations and not waste opportunities to create big plays via their all-world wide receivers. Above all else, they need to...
