I am going to breakdown my thoughts on the current roster and action I would take. I will do defense separately. I not going to have time to look at all the draft prospects like other years just to busy. I saw some but won't be able to go real deep. indicates one of my favorites on the team.
QB
1. Kirk Cousins-Money aside he is not a terrible QB, I would take a upgrade but we could do worse. He is not leaving now.
2. Nate Stanley-Haven't got the chance to see him yet, we will find out about him this preseason, curious to see me
3. Jake Browning-Have not seen much. Have a feeling he is sorry.
Plan since all the pipe dreams of a Watson is unlikely, as well as getting one high. I think we should look at one around rd 3 or 4 maybe like a Kyle Trask type. I wanted Fromm or Eason last year. At least get a decent one not a 7th rd practice squad type. Mannion simple bye.
RB
1.Dalvin Cook- Star core of offensive plan
2.Alexander Mattison- Solid number 2 use him more to keep Cook fresh especially on power runs
3.Mike Boone-RFA low tender him and bring back for cheap solid 3
Plan let Ameer walk. I have no concerns here and Rick does good here. Bring in a late rounder like 7th rd plus UDFA
FB
1.CJ Ham- underrated does dirty work
2.Jake Bargas-Unknown did play one game and seemed fine
Plan add no one we set here at a not so important position(we usually only have 2 at camp)
WR
1.Justin Jefferson-1400 and 21, should have been rookie of the year
2.Adam Thielen- Still got it starting to slow down a bit on YAC, but still reliable
3.Chad Beebe-Waterbug ok in a pinch, need a bigger threat at 3 more suited for 4 or 5 WR
4.Bisi Johnson- Disappointed in him thought he was a 3 still worth a roster spot though
5.K.J. Osborn. Head scratcher didn't understand drafting him wanted Peoples-Jones or KJ Hill
6.Dan Chisena- Should have practice squad him?
Plan I would look to FA with this like a Tyrel Williams, Dede Westbrook, or Keelan Cole maybe a few others. We need another solid WR to open up the offense and someone who can play if JJ or Thielen missed time. Perhaps a late rounder too. If no FA then this is like a 4th rd need.
TE
1.Kyle Rudolph- My guy thanks for a decade of solid play one of our best TEs we ever had but times up bye
2.Irv Smith J.R.- Could we please use him more has ability still young 22 the future
3.Tyler Conklin- Showed me something ready for #2 TE spot
4.Brandon Dillon- Think he would be fine as #3 TE
5.Hale Hentges-Who? We will see never heard of him before we picked him up
Plan, even with letting Rudy go I don't have to much of a concern. Maybe add one 5th rd or later and UDFA
OT
1.Brian O'Neill- Our best lineman, he did play slightly worse last year but still good. Give him a new deal
2.Riley Reiff- Had solid year, hope to keep him but only at reasonable price, otherwise move on likely to go back to average.
3.Oli Udoh- Will you give my boy a chance, can't say he is not good because we leave scrubs in, my pet project lol
4.Blake Brandel- We will find out this preseason. Glad nobody took him off PS intriguing
C
1.Garrett Bradbury- Thought he was doing okay and then became horrible. Looking like Elflein 2.0
OG
1.Ezra Cleveland- I thought he did fine.. Hopefully takes a big step forward. At this point just leave him at OG.
2Dru Samia- Sorry, at this point may get cut. He was TJ Clemmings sorry from these eyes. Young or not ouch.
3.Kyle Hinton- Unknown intrigued by him! Can he play center too. Might can be something lucky nobody took him off PS
4.Zack Bailey- Who? Likely sorry
Plan, Wish we could get a big fish OG in FA if not at least a mid tier. Plus add a high draft pick regardless. BIG Need add several players at least 2 of those being higher resources used.
Summary: Add 2 top notch OL man. One in FA and one in draft high. Another OL mid rounds for 3 adds. Get a WR in FA and a higher upside future QB prospect. Sprinkle in late rd RB and TE and we ready on offense.
