All I did was report what was stated in a newspaper article or off the web. A lot of times you do not know, and a lot of it goes unreported. Back in my youth, I went to parties with a group of people, one who turned out to be according to an article up here years ago, the most dangerous sexual offender the Minnepolis police department had every seen. His thing was young females, and he was highly intelligent, so know he to avoid publicly crossing most lines. The justice department and the police finally caught him, locked him up, and for all I know, threw away the key. Unless it hits the inner circle of a person, and only if they tell you or you see it in the local police report, do you ever hear of the rape or the issues on campus.
I am guessing your friend went to UT years ago, when the issue was not so prevalent, and not in the last 10 years when things have gotten much worse.
Remember most of these were date rapes or alcohol induced rapes, these tend to go unreported, due to the victim knowing the person, and sometimes the time lapse before they come forward. You have to be coherent to report.
