Pace isn't a good GM. Look at the QB moves he's made... he was lucky to not be fired this offseason.

Cut Akiem Hicks? He's the heart and soul of their run stopping game. That'd be a hard sell. Plus their starting point is very weak compared to what the Jets, Dolphins, and teams with top 10 picks can offer. Yes, the Bears should at least try to get him, of course... I foresee them drafting a QB this year, in possibly rounds 1-3. Their chances are very low on Watson and Detroit won't trade him to a division rival.

Also, I think their big move was getting Khalil Mack, which cost two 1sts and a 2nd, and I don't seem them doing another mega deal for a single player. They'd be giving up 4 or 5 first round picks over a 5 year stretch. Their offensive needs a lot of pieces, not just a QB and nothing else.

I agree that the Dolphins will probably be the winners here (tanking DOES work after all, huh? lol JK), because it makes sense and there are already rumors about that's one of his preferred destinations. Does he get to approve of any trade idea? But anyway, just goes to show, another team got their QB in the top of round 1 and ... already can't wait to move on. Having picks is great, but if you don't get the guy? Go get yourself the proven player in Watson! Not only is he a great player, we've heard nothing but good things about his character, work ethic, leadership, etc. Some team is going to be extremely lucky, ... and I hope Watson stays in the AFC. lol.

With so many QB needy teams, are the Vikings stupid for not shopping Cousins? Or would teams look at him similar to how teams are looking at Stafford, only with Cousins costing a lot more against the cap?

Statt Padford over Cousins ? Comparing the two is really weird since they have the same rep.

I'm not a fan of Cousins, but considering how much it would cost to move on from Kirk and how much it would cost to get Watson, I prefer Kirk.

Money talks especially with a young guy in his early mid twenties. When someone is going to give you $40 million per season and you didn’t grow up rich you are probably going to sign on the dotted line as quickly as possible. And things have been that bad dude I know from living here and seeing that sh!t show the last few years. It’s one terrible decision after another. I also know Watson is a top 5 qb and is one of the best proven talents int he league. I don’t think he is on mahomes or Rodgers level but I would put him on the josh Allen level and allen is now in the top 5. The protection Watson has had the last few years is laughable as he is alway under duress it seems. I remember someone posted an article about this from pff or some other stats website showing just how bad the Texans pass protection has been (yes it’s been worse than the Vikings). And their defense has been just pure garbage their db’s have to be the worst in the nfl and yea that includes the Vikings. Their offensive weapons are average at best and they don’t get much pressure as they used to a few years ago.

Um. Maybe if the QB wasn't making $40 million a year they could afford an O-line. After all, isn't' that the excuse people here use on Cousin's contract? It's hurting the team.
