Bieniemy ran a crappy offense at Colorado in his only go round as a real OC. Why should we believe he is going to be great in the NFL? He is in the exact same position as Childress was before he came here. Will Bieniemy be running his own KAO in the future?
Note here that while Bieniemy does have experience as a Vikings coach, he does not have experience with Zimmer. One should also note that Eric's final year with Minnesota was as "assistant head coach/running backs coach" in 2010 - a season which the Vikings offense took a huge step backwards.
Bieniemy does have experience with many NFL offensive schemes, so hopefully he has learned a lot in the process. We won't really know until he runs his own offense at this level. It isn't like Colorado was a college powerhouse for recruiting, and that can make a huge difference at that level.
