Reiff I'm sure was one who wanted out and will want out after this Sunday. They jerked him around and he'll be joining the list of guys who just say no to more Mike and Rick. Eventually ownership will wake up and say the same but we might all be dead by the time that happens.
Yep I just don't see players hanging around for more of this especially guys in their final stages of their career or guys in their prime. I know what needs to be done to turn this around and it's not very popular idea and now with extensions to three people it screws up all of 2021. The only way out and the quickest cleanest route is to cut throat and suffer in 2021 and 2022. If not done that way it will literally be four years before it's turned around. Here is the problem short term people wont be happy to see fan favs get traded and cut. Some will just want out it's a business for them. I would say it will resemble what the Jags did. Now if fans just want to hang on to the likes of a few of these guys like Barr Kendricks Cousins Cook Thielen Rudy Smith Hunter if back they won't get turned around so they will just be wasted talent. We need a full tilt rebuild and suffer a year vs two or three.
The way you do that is clean house get picks and cap relief and bite the bullet. The approach going on now is a half ass attempt to save face and it never works. Get rid of the GM get rid of the HC and clean out the lockers of anyone with huge cap hits and or value to other teams. Suffer in 2021 because it's going to happen regardless. Let the new GM HC and roster start to transition and be in year 2 in 2022 and by 2023 it will be well into full swing instead of just starting.
