New GM, Coach and QB. Who do you want?

Well I'll say what I said in the other thread. Darrell Bevel and Justin Fields, and whichever GM is able to bring those 2 in. Bevel played a role in drafting Wilson in Seattle, and Justin Fields reminds me of Wilson, and last time I checked, that combo worked out pretty well for the Seachickens. With a caveat that they bring in Sloter to be the backup ofc.

I'm keeping an open mind.

The key for me is, as you've done here, is finding guys who FIT together.... that alone (FIT) will be a welcome change, whenever it happens....

You're confusing him with Trey Lance. Fields is a Wilson type who yes uses his mobility to escape the pocket and buy time, but from what film I've watched, running always seemed to be a last resort for him. He always kept his eyes downfield. I would never choose a one read and run type QB. Fields is the type of QB we need if we're going to constantly ignore the OL.

Yeah that was the general idea, chemistry. A huge problem with the Vikings over the years is how they just go out and find random parts and ram them together hoping it works, like they don't actually have a plan or goal. Like paying $40m a year for a game manager QB. Hiring a coach like Fraizer to run a defense that hasn't worked in this league in 15 years. Then hiring a coach like Zimmer who has a coaching philosophy that hasn't worked in this league since 1938. Drafting Ponder to run a WCO. Drafting Peterson and running a WCO. Drafting a shotgun QB like Teddy when you have an I-formation back like Peterson. Drafting a QB who isn't a deep threat like Teddy to run your Norv Turner air coryell offense. Signing a deep threat receiver like Wallace for a noodle arm QB who can't hit the deep ball to save his life like Teddy. Then drafting a right handed QB who loves to throw left handed INT's. Wasting a 1st round pick on a game manger QB. Drafting a guy named Teddy period.

Reignman Lance to me is even scarier and I'm not saying Fields can't improve but here is how I view him a much more gifted Dwayne Haskins more like Lamar Jackson as a runner. This is the biggest issue with QBs transitioning is to how much they have had to read defenses and I know it's not something going on at OSU or many colleges to be honest. I'm going to start breaking down some of the QBs soon but won't spend much time unless we actually move on from Rick and Kirk.

I’m starting to research zach wilson a lot and the more and more I watch him and learn about his tendencies and positives/nwgatives, the more I like him and his chances of transitioning to the nfl. Only thing is I have been seeing th rest of the league has caught on to him too and he is most likely a top 5 pick some April. Probably the 2nd qb taken.

I'm hardly a QB expert, that's why I'd hire someone to evaluate a QB. 
Rick has proven time and time, and time again that he is incapable of drafting a successful QB.
Not to mention the number he didn't even entertain drafting when we could have used a better option.

I would take just about any assistant GM at this point and trust they would do a better job than Rick has done.  Rick is probably like 0 for 10 at this point.
