All the questionable things I remember in this game. All in favor of the Bucs. Reminded me a lot of the Cowboys game, 2009 NFCCG, and just about every Packers game. Anyone remember a game where the questionable calls were entirely in our favor? I'll wait. All I ask for is a little consistency with the bad calls.
- no call on Beebe getting his head taken off on a punt return
- no call on Cousins taking a crushing forearm to the head
- Harrison Smith yet another questionable "lowering the head" call
- Dantzler gets DPI when Evans slipped on what could have been a 100 yard pick-6, 2 plays after the Smith penalty
- first DPI on a hail mary since 2008
- longest 1 second in NFL history, or premature stoppage of the clock allowing the hail mary
- Beebe getting tackled on a crossing route before the ball arrived
- 9th game in a row an opponent hasn't drawn offensive holding
In favor of the Vikings
- Suh may or may not have jumped offsides on an insignificant play on the first drive of the game, which I'm sure Aikman is still talking about
The lack of offensive holding calls stems from our lack of good pass rushers. Refs aren't favoring the Lions, Panthers and Jags over the Vikings, so the fact it has been consistent points to it being our dline not the refs.
We hear the usual excuses about Hunter and Pierce, but we don't hear about how terrible the DL play his been this year......
