There's nothing more enjoyable than helping get those delusional homer panties nice and moist before their favorite team cock blocks them one more time.
Current Playoff Standings:
The Realistic and Easiest Scenario (Passing the Bears and catching Arizona):
If the Vikings go 5-1 the rest of the way, and the Cardinals 3-3 or worse, and Bears 4-2 or worse. The Vikings will win the tie-breakers over the Bears and Cardinals for the 7th seed.
The remaining schedules, and a possible scenario:
It doesn't matter which specific games they win or lose. The Lions, 49ers, and Panthers won't be a factor if the Vikings go 5-1.
Making Things More Difficult (AKA the Vikings way) Scenario:
If the Vikings go 4-2, then the Cardinals gotta lose 4 and the Bears 3. Unless the Bears do some weird thing where they lose to the Jags and Texans, but beat the Packers, Lions, and Vikings. In that scenario at 8-8, the Bears would win the tie-breaker over the Vikings. It would take a bunch of upsets for the Lions, 49ers, or Panthers to be a factor in this scenario too, unless the Panthers beat us next week, then they would only need to go 4-2 to win the tie-breaker.
The Don't Even Think About it Scenarios:
The Vikings could still get in if they go 3-3 and finish 7-9, but ooo boy do all the planets need to align in that scenario.
And if the space/time continuum bends just right, there's even a scenario that gets them in at 6-10, as long as one of their final 2 wins isn't against the Jaguars.
So did I do it? Did I get some panties nice and moist?
