Oh I agree Im not basing my opinion off of a press conference thats obviously all BS. Ive supported Rick and co for a while they did turn this around when Zim came in and gave us a lot of hope and keeping our core guys together (another reason why I dont see us selling guys with ties to the team unlike Yannick) I just dont see Rick going full rebuild unless these players come and ask for a trade, he has always tried to keep the "window" open. You look at every move, panic selling for Bradford, signing Cousins with no Oline, extending Cousins cause of a wild card win, trading a 2nd for Yannick then selling him for a low 3rd round pick because he took a paycut for a "contender" and you now know he wont resign here next season for cheap. Unless the Wilfs said well give you another 3-4 years (highly doubt that was said) Rick is playing for his job hes not going to rebuild and sell our assets. Unless Rick gets fired we are in this thing until Cousins contract and Rick are gone. My only hope is we get blown out by Green Bay and Rick and even Zim are fired and we sell off before the deadline. Again I can be totally wrong and I hope so but unless Rick is gone I dont see any key assets being moved before the deadline like they should.

Yeah I don't know what the thinking there is at this point. I see all the bad moves since what happened in 2017 got them deluded into thinking this team was "close". The teams that win titles have a hof level qb for the most part, maybe they thought Cousins was that guy? Plenty of people knew he wasn't at the time. I'd be happy to see RS and MZ go but who knows we're probably stuck with the dynamic duo since the owner doesn't seem to actually care about winning, just puts out p.r. about how much he cares that bamboozles most of the sad fanbase.

The Wilfs have been buying all the snake oil that "Ricky" Spielman has been peddling. They put a lot of guaranteed cash into Cousins's pocket because they trusted the GM. The Wilfs hired Zimmer and all of his NFL old boys coaches and kids, so now the Vikings have coordinators and special assistants up to their ears, but the Vikings have had no good results and have no promising future.

The rest of the NFL knows what Spielman has gotten the Vikings into with their cap space, and if you think the sharks smell blood in the water now, just wait until the Vikings have to get under the cap before the start of the next two seasons and the feeding frenzy begins.
