Thuney is a quality guard, and good O-linemen are a rare thing these days.
Maybe Joe has his mind set on Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Washington or Nevada where there is a tax friendly advantage. We just don't know if there will be this so-called bidding war, but I totally understand where your coming from. Sometimes it's not about the money for some of these guys and it's about where you want to live for the next 4 or five years. I'm praying Dennison talks him into being a Viking. That would be cool.
He should top the deal Rodger Saffold got with the Titans last year (4 years, $44M).
He might not be the most expensive guard, but nevertheless....that would be OK. A cap hit of 7 or 8 million in 2020 could work if Brzezinski and Spielman can work out the cuts and restructures to make it happen. Thuney could be our new Hutchinson.
By the way, it's "Jermaine Eluemunor" and "Marshall" Newhouse, and both are backups who will not be priorities to re-sign.
Robert Newhouse was a BADASS FB back in the day!! Thanks for pointing those out Mr. Spelling B.
