Week 4 - Vikings @ Texans Support Group

On championship mindset- This is where you get confused in my opinion. You think since we have this board to speak our opinions that gives us the Power to tell the Vikings ownership how to run the organization. And if it's not done to perfection but we continue to cheer for the current regime we don't have a Championship mindset.

I am a Vikings FAN, not a GM or coach. I was last year, this year and till I die. Again my inability to be their GM or coach leaves me no choice but to cheer for the product they give me even when I don't agree with some things.

Every year when fall comes around I want them to win a championship because I am a fan not the GM. I don't get to make the decision on how they build their team though so I can't determine what kind of team they will have.

When we got spanked by the Eagles a few years back. I didn't say oh well.

When Walsh missed the field goal against Seattle, I didn't go oh darn.

When we lost to the Saints and Atlanta in the NFC championship game, I didn't say better luck next year.

Yet every fall I come back and put on my purple and gold and cheer like crazy because that's my only option short of choosing a different team.

So to say I don't want a Championship any less than you is not true. I just realize this forum doesn't give me the ability to fire Zimmer or Rick or get a Guard in FA.
