Yeah that game is confusing me. 49ers went from getting blown out by the freaking Fins and benching Jimmy, to now suddenly back to Super Bowl caliber against the Rams and Patriots. Talk about rebounding after a crushing defeat!

Hoyer and Stidham both looked terrible when Cam missed the Chiefs game with COVID - the Patriots are down several offensive linemen, have the worst WR corps in the league, nothing at TE, and a few decent HBs. They were mediocre last year with Brady and didn't upgrade the offense over the offseason. Their last 2 offensive 1st rounders look like busts (HB Sony Michel & WR N'Keal Harry) and they went defense on their first 3 picks in the 2020 draft - and they traded up twice in the 3rd round for two middling TE prospects. I've been saying it for a while now, but Belichick's drafting has been rather poor the last 2-3 years and it's finally catching up to him.

And Brady currently has 17 TDs to 4 INTs and Tampa is 5-2 with a blowout of Green Bay to their name.

It's obviously a bit early to count NE out if anything, or crown TB...but really, early on...who looks more like they made who, Billy or Tom?

So nobody going to talk about how Gostkowski can't make FG's this year, except when he's playing the Vikings? 6/6 on FG's, including 3/3 from 50+, including two from 54+, including a 55 GW with 1:44 to go? He misses just one of them like he's done against everyone else ... well we still suck, but we're 2-4.

The Football Gods hate Vikings fans. I don't know who did what when, but it's very obvious we're in some sort of fan hell.

To be fair, Winston succeeded with all that talent in Tampa Bay too, but he couldn't stop throwing INT's. And Billy boy went 11-5 with Matt Cassel, so he's not completely overrated. Plus it takes more than just having an elite QB. The Packers have practically wasted Rodgers, and Payton has only sniffed one Super Bowl with Brees.

It's too small a sample size at this point (IMO I think both are all-time greats, so more 50-50 or at worst 60-40), but the Patriots don't have any talent on the offensive side of the ball and they look like a defense-first team now. Not many of those teams are getting it done these days, and with the way NE has bungled their past few drafts, they might need to get some high draft picks in to start building their team back up.

Tampa also had a quietly good roster around Winston last year but he turned over the ball so often it tired out their defense. Now they can move the ball without constantly turning it over, their O-line is finally good enough to run the ball, they have the best run defense in the NFL, and their DBs are young and talented. Not sure if they're a SB-caliber squad yet, but they're close.

Oh wow, the 1984 Vikings get a mention in the Jags/Chargers game because the Jaguars just tied their dubious NFL record by allowing 30+ in 6 straight regular season games. It's what we do, set dubious records.

Road team 8-4 so far this week, and now 51-51-1 on the year. Is it because there hasn't been much of a home field advantage without fans? Probably not. Last year at this time the road teams was 59-46-1.

I finally saw the TD and yeah that might be one of the weirdest TD's ever lol. It almost looked like he pretended he didn't want to score, but had himself in fantasy so he "accidentally" leaned the ball over the line xD. I don't know, it just looks weird. His body is trying to fall short and parallel to the line, but the ball still reaches out for the line, like it had a mind of it's own.

Houston gets them next after their bye and they already put 30 on them a couple weeks ago. If they don't prevent the Texans from doing it, then they might not get another chance until they play the Vikings week 13 lol. They're at Green Bay the following week, then host Pittsburgh and Cleveland before they play us. 3 high scoring teams. They could have a 10 game streak going into the game against us.

Exciting game here in Arizona, as the Seahawks and Cardinals are going to overtime at 34 apiece. They will likely end up being the highest scoring game this week, as only the Browns-Bengals ended at 37-34.

Of course Arizona misses the FG here... it was only 2nd & 15, they easily could have advanced the ball further and eaten more clock, but now they've given the soon-to-be MVP a ripe opportunity to win this one.
