Why do you think I qualified my statement with, "we gotta raise the bar around here" lol? If you think Special Ted is a stud and exciting, then your expectations are quite low and your desire to see the Vikings win a championship is in conflict with what it takes to win a championship. Do you just enjoy being miserable?

Oh they loved him so much they didn't keep him around though. Besides, they love him for all the wrong reasons. This is his 7th season, we know who he is.

Lol what does that even mean? I noticed you didn't say, "he makes everyone around him better". Ohhh they just want to be better? Wow, that screams championship material. Favre actually made everyone around him better and we might have won a championship if we weren't cheated. See the difference?

I know he's "special", that's why I call him Special Ted. He's a nice kid so everyone gives his mediocrity a pass. Having a nice QB is apparently more important than filling the trophy case to some.

The play it safe defense is no longer good enough to carry Zimmer to his usual 9 or 10 "at least we're not Detroit" wins, but we're stuck with him another 3 years. In other words we gotta suck for another 3 years before we can start rebuilding. Yay us! Some of us wanted him to prove it this year before getting an extension, but nope, it wouldn't be the Vikings way without committing ourselves to several years of suckage for no reason. Yeah I can't figure out why the trophy case is still empty after 60 years and counting.

For people who always whine about not being content, how many years have you stuck around? How many trophies do we have? Oh yeah, that's right. You think the tantrums make you, "tougher on the guys" and that's supposed to make some sort of difference compared to us "complacent" ones? Yeah, that's done a lot of good since 1961. Do better! Maybe get your crew to spend the money, go to games, and start holding "Fire Spielman" and "Fire Zimmer" and "Bench Cousins" signs? Yeah, put your money where your mouth is. Don't just hide behind a computer screen. Go make a REAL DIFFERENCE. Again, do better, because your "Championship Mindset" is just fake news. Do it in real life, or shut up about it.



No, his defense isn't great right now, but it will be again. He's proven that time and time again about his defenses, but hey, let's overreact to the first 3 games for a defense with 6+ new starters from the previous year. Give it time. 

What about Tyrod Taylor this season?

Justin Herbert's golden opportunity. He's played well for a rookie. 

Diggs is looking good so far against the Raiders, kinda reminds me a little of Jefferson!

It was close for most of the game, but there was a lot of ineptitude on the field. Darnold isn't good and was throwing to 6th and 7th string WRs, while Rypien and the offense scored 37 points despite throwing 3 really bad interceptions. Also, the Jets defense made some nasty late hits, which of course is important for the ol' Gregg Williams defense!
