The 2016 Minnesota Vikings season won't be remembered fondly, and Bridgewater's injury will be a factor in that. But, I cannot believe that, all things unfolding as they did, and simply switching the QB from Shaun Hill/Sam Bradford to Teddy Bridgewater, that team would have been any better or Teddy Bridgewater achieves the same level of mediocre production Sam Bradford did.

It is pure conjecture to say that a worse run game would have lead to the Vikings scoring fewer points in 2015, while it is a fact they scored fewer points in 2016 with a lesser run game and a lesser QB.

Ah yes, because having Kahlil, Fusco and Clemmings out there in 2015 consistently was a good thing. Both lines were terrible and riddled with injuries, with 2 starters missing all 16 games in 2015.



Based on Teddy's production (which is the entirety of the users argument I was responding too), in his only starts following the 2015 season, he would have thrown for 30 TDs, 6 Ints and had a passer rating in the high 90s.

He knew the system better, was more mobile and most importantly, was a much better QB than Bradford.

McCarthy= Was brought in specifically with Rodgers in mind, completely overhauled and changed his mechanics and footwork. Why doesnt Zimmer do that to a QB then watch him tear the league apart?

Nagy= Nagy's first two seasons are better then Zimmers first two seasons, and Zimmers last two seasons, so calling Nagy a bad coach is calling Zimmer a bad coach.

Pederson= Wentz isnt much netter then Cousins, his numbers are worse actually, and Pederson won a SB with Foles.

Tomlin= Roethlisberger has had good seasons but many of his season statlines pale in comparison to Cousins and Keenum's single season.

Carrol= Wilson was a game manager for his first 4 seasons.

McVay= Who cares that he missed the playoffs last year? Zimmer only made the playoff three times in his 6 year career. Mcvay os more successful in every metric

Quinn= Cousins stat average stat line beats Matt Ryans average stat line, and and again, and Quinn makes the playoffs more then Zimmer.

Cousins numbers are quite comparable to Luck since becoming starter. DEN past playoff appearance was bevause of their D, not Peyton who was terrible in 2015 and got benched.

Your just pretending as if Zimmers past four years of QB play hasnt been very good lol. It has been, better then most coaches on that list.

Matt Moore started 2 games versus 6, but sure extrapolate away. He too is a better QB than Bradford ever was.

Every QB works on their mechanics coming out of college. Plus, who is to say Zimmer, WHO HAS GOTTEN THE BEST SEASONS OUT OF EVERY QB HE HAS COACHED didn't help fix some of the issues that ailed his starting QBs prior to joining the Vikings?

Nagy was saddled with a terrible QB and did the best he could with him in 2018, similar to Zimmer. I can't see for sure he is better or worse than Zimmer and a lot will ride on this current season, but I think most Bears fans would say Nagy was worse.

Wentz isn't healthier than Cousins, but since 2017, Wentz has the higher TD %, lower Int %, thrown for more yards per game. He has also shown that he can be significantly better than Pederson has gotten out of him the past 2 seasons, but unlike Zimmer, Pederson hasn't always gotten the best out of his QBs.



Are you really trying to argue Cousins and Case have been better QBs in any season than multi-Superbowl winning, future HOF QB Ben Roethlisberger? Maybe this should tell you right here that stat lines aren't everything. Wow.

By what measure was he a game manager? Maybe as a rookie that was true, but even including that first season when most QBs are pissing themselves and losing their team's games, he is 9th among QBs in TDs during that time, 3rd in TD %, 6th in int % and 2nd in passer rating. Oh, and #1 in YPA.

First, there is a big difference between coaching good QB play out of a QB, and actually having an actual good QB.

Second, most of the people on that list have QBs that are much better than anything Zimmer has had to work with.


Hey, a valid point. Yes, he indeed has a great deal of culpability in who his QB is. Bridgewater wasn't his fault, but Bradford and Cousins certainly are.

You should just stick to points that don't require you to make goofy statements like Kirk Cousins is as good as Andrew Luck and Russel Wilson was a game manager.
