He's quite possibly going to be traded Mel! So much for sticking in New Orleans. And, yeah NO offered fully guaranteed while the rumor is MIA offered $10 over 2 years...$10 is more the $7.5!
If he wanted to do what's best for his pocket book, go to Miami and prove how good you are. Force the 'Fins to make a decision between you and a possible first rounder. Unless you are afraid you won't win that choice, but even if you don't...you play well enough and you at least hit Mike Glennon money if not Cousins or even Foles money.
And lastly, almost losing one's leg doesn't make you courageous-it makes you terribly unlucky. Coming back from that is impressive, but hardly unheard of. No Jackson came back to baseball after a HIP REPLACEMENT! And, I don't believe I have ever referenced the fear of reinjuring his leg as a reason to fear signing him anywhere. My reasons for not signing him are due to the fact that he's never been very good, and has now thrown a grand total of 25 passes since 2015.
Okay, again, ALMOST LOST HIS LEG, MAY NEVER BE THE SAME, ONE HIT MIGHT BE THE END ... $7.25 million to likely sit back and learn from one of the greats in hopes you're the next man up, or possibly $10 million to get beat up every week (as long as you last) on one of the worst teams in the NFL? You heard Miami is trying to trade away some of their best offensive players (which isn't saying much), right? Come on... FULL TANK MODE! Get a clue.
And why, at his age, with 5 seasons in the NFL does Teddy Bridgewater have to learn from anybody? If your sixth-year QB is still having to learn lessons? Not a great sign.
And again, Miami going full tank mode is probably news to Brian Flores and to the 90 players trying to make that team. If, IF, IF Teddy Bridgewater is as good as the Bridgewater Backers claim...he guts Miami to 6, 7 or 8 wins and secures his spot. Miami uses their first round pick next year on a WR or T, or DE. Instead, you seem resigned to the fact that they'd finish 2-14 with him getting knocked out Week 5, and they draft Tua Tagovailoa next April. And that, in the end is my point. Not only did Teddy Bridgewater apparently think that would have been his fate, but so do his most devoted fans. And it's us Teddy-Truthers who have the incorrect view regarding his abilities?
