I hope so, but with the way Mannion was gifted the QB2 job last year, I would expect the same to happen this year, especially with a shortened offseason. Sloter, with his 2 years of experience in our system, wasn't even given a chance to pass him, so I expect Stanley will be forced to pass Browning rather than Mannion.

But hey, Mannion played a couple years for Sean McVay, so he must be great! *eyeroll*

What is with all the hate for Mannion?

The only meaningful action we saw from him was against a very good Bear's D that made our starting QB look just as bad playing with starters instead of the backups Mannion played with. Did people watch him in camp last year and are basing their dislike for him on that? Or is it just that he isn't Sloter, a guy who I believe still hasn't been signed by any team.
