I love being the head coach of my daughter's U10 elite soccer team. A lot of pressure but I have an assistant and she played college at an elite level so I just have to mainly handle the parents while she runs practice. I say this because she is in your position and doesn't want to be a head coach either because of the BS. So I take on that part.

My best friend and I played for a men's club soccer team in Hawaii. When he asked me to help him train the Kalaheo HS soccer program I was all in. I never had to deal with kids grades or an athletic director. My sole purpose was to train the boys fundamentally and tactically. I loved it!!

My boys were up for da challenge and qualified for state championships that year at Aloha Stadium. Some of our players would come to practice with sand on their feet.......a clear sign that they surfed before school that day. Great times, good team!!

I agree with you although I don't necessarily agree with the premise. Eric Bieniemy, I wouldn't mind seeing this guy as HC.
