Dude this is so cool. I'm working on my data nerd status and I had no idea we had such a badass resource here. I hope you dont find some of my questions annoying in the future.
I dont understand the full scope of the information you have at hand.
So like do you think you have the ability to use your information to grade offensive lines? How would you tackle something like that?
The only thing I can think of is rushing stats. Each run is broken down into 7 different directions. Right/left end, right/left tackle, right/left guard, and up the middle. You could not only see which gap the run game is more successful by yards per attempt, but by the number of attempts too. I figure a team is going to want to run behind it's best run blockers more often.
Yeah, the struggle with analysis is at the end it's only as good as the hypothesis and methodology and that's a challenge. That said we are in a better spot thanks to what you're doing. Thanks for what you do!
