Throwing Picks/Bodies at Offensive Line

So what you are saying is that maybe the O-line just needs a little more experience together.

4 of those 5 players on the Giants had been playing together for 3 years in a row. That makes a big difference in the O-line. Go back 3 years on the Vikings and not one of our starters in 2019 was even on the team.

Pretty much this.  Lineman take time to develop, you could draft 100 of them and it'd be mostly pointless because you'd have to cut 95 of them before they even had a chance to show you anything.  Unless they're first round guys, almost all of them need at least a year or two in the weightroom and the class room and then they still might not amount to anything.  

It didn't help that this class of IOL was one of the weakest in quite a while and I'm not a fan of attacking an extremely weak position, every draft is different and this would have been a bad one to go all in on IOL.  

But theirs a reason half the league needs O-line help every year.  Very few college teams use NFL blocking concepts, technique, schemes, etc.  So once again, these guys need time to gain strength and be taught.  It may seem easy from the chair behind the computer like duh just draft a million guys until something sticks but that's not fully understanding what the real problem is.

Honestly I think we just need to draft bigger & stronger guys lol. Haven’t been a fan of these undersized/agile lineman but I understand our scheme & personnel. I’m just tired of watching our IOL passblock like they’re on skates lol.

The O-line is the one part of a team the needs time to work well together. Very seldom does a team throw, 5 guys, on the line in one year and it works out. Most good o-lines spend several years together before becoming "good". And as time moves on, replacing a player here or there does not usually throw the line off. Look at the Vikings o-line from the 60's Yary, Alderman, Tinglehoff, White. These guys played together for years. From 62 to 78 they changed something like 4 players on the O-line. Of course, you can't do that these days. But you get the idea.

Well I keep hearing about how highly rated the D was so they let everyone walk yet they all sucked. Now they are in phase 2 of D rebuild.

I keep hearing how the OL was better then the year before yet we still have 3 unknowns and instead of getting a G or 2 we go after yet another OT. They keep trying to get athletic OT to play G instead of actually getting a G.

I have heard every excuse known to mankind why they sucked yet it just doesn't matter at this point.
