Noone has yet to answer my question: has Ezra ever played Guard in his life? To me, he doesn't seem a good fit at guard. That's not fair to the kid.... and beyond that, Rick/Zimmer/Kubiak will stick with Elflein. Watch and see.

So that leaves Cleveland as a backup to Reiff this season. Bc I doubt they will start a trio of Ezra-Elf-Bradbury on that side.... it would be a relatively young and inexperienced blind side of the line. Hopefully Ezra proves he's the real deal right off the bat and we cut Reiff and don't have to look back..... that would be ideal.... but not realistic to expect that of the rookie.

How about this idea.... I don't think they will do it, but I'd like to see them give this a test run:

LT: Cleveland
LG: Samia
C: Bradbury
RG: Reiff
RT: ONeill

He played G in high school. He was a two way player and actually went to Boise to play DL and switches to OL.

Thanks for the info. At least it wouldn't be completely foreign to him then, if they do make him switch to Guard.

Well he may have played 1 game or 3 years I just know he played G,T and I think C if I'm not mistaken in HS.

The biggest plus is at least Boise had a zbs so he has knowledge in that aspect. The worst is he has been pegged by most as a RT or swing T in the NFL.

I'm not sold on anyone we have at this point. If they are taking the "means" nothing Bears game last year for proof our guys held up. I hope they understand they weren't trying. Just like preseason false hope rains large.

Here's my thoughts that support and do not support Rick. He has been extremely good at drafting. He has like 16 pro bowlers drafted which is stupid good.

But when you are on the cusp you need to make moves to try to put you over the top.

If you always build for the future you will be the Twins

It had to have been targeting Wirfs or Kinlaw. I don't buy that they would've traded up for a WR (Jefferson or otherwise) in this particular draft....... so I'm pretty sure Rick's failed attempt to trade up was for either Wirfs or Kinlaw. And since they liked whoever they were going to pick between those two that much to try to move up.... I'm definitely disappointed. That tells me they REALLY liked the guy they're trying to move up for. And I've said all along this offseason.... identify the guy they REALLY like. And we have ammo. So go get him!! But the attempt failed.

And not only did Rick not make any of the big splash moves you and me called for. He actually did the opposite (!!!!!!!)..... and traded away Diggs..... I recommend everyone take a few minutes to watch this:

Then again we had to get a Wr round 1 IMO. All the likely clear cut #1 or 2s were gone before our second round pick. I know a few later rounds will turn out but harder to find for day one. I didn't like Denzel Mims. I hate to grade a program but Baylor receivers never turn out they can't run routes. Their coaches never teach them routes.

I said BPA but told everyone how it was going to play out and WR would be the route because all the OT would be gone. Than I said there would be a run on the WR before the second rd when most said a WR would still be there remember IA.
