About 5-6 things have to develop and come together perfectly for Love to be a great QB. We'll see if time sitting behind Rodgers helps him improve his decision making and accuracy. Having the ability to throw the ball 80 yards does nothing for me if he can't accurately throw 10-12 yard route passes on a consistent basis.

His 2018 was great. His decision making was way worse in 2019. He threads the needle constantly, but as you said, his decision making in 2019 was poor.

He is boom or bust. Honestly, it wouldnt make sense for GB to take a QB in the first of they weren't boom or bust.

Didnt want WR this high but was a big fan of Jefferson. Really needed a CB, glad we got Gladney. Now, O line. Then just resign Everson.

Agreed. The oline needed help as much as any position and got ignored again. Spielman picked oline round 1 last year when he didn’t really have a choice. Well it is still weak and we had 2 picks and it got ignored. He obviously doesn’t like using first round picks on oline. It’s sad because you still win and lose in the trenches.

Yes, but that is based mostly off of his 2019 production. He had a fantastic 2018 season.

Belichek doesnt have the history of QBs GB has. Favre, Brunnel, Hasselbeck, Warner, Rodgers, etc. In addition, the GMing tree that he is a part of drafts all pro HOFers all the time in addition to the guys I mentioned, Schneieder had Wilson, Dorsey had Mahomes etc.

Belichek has had one great QB, and a couple of solid ones. Not to mention, a raw prospect like Love would have to likely start right away in NE.

I think the Pats end up with the other raw potential guy, Eason.

Why is Belichek the end all be all of QB evaluation? I wouldnt put him over Andy Reid or the Packers scouts in that category.

I think Love could bust. But I'm concerned about his potential for sure. The guy has nuts arm talent, he is just raw. Favre was like that too.

I am wondering why in a draft that is being touted as incredibly deep at WR did we use the 22nd overall to draft a WR. Rick just blew a 1st rounder on treadwell a few years ago who was a total bust, and he pulled our 2 best WRs in the team's recent memory from the 5th round and undrafted.

I would have rather went OL with one of those first 2 picks and saved WR for the 2nd day. As cb44 said, "until they fix the OL, nothing else matters" and I can't say it any simpler or better. Add on top of that Rick's ability to scout out strong WR talent in the mid to late rounds, and it confuses me why we used such a high pick on Jefferson.

We keep paying boat loads of money to a QB who needs protection to play well, and then doing a sh*tty job of providing protection.

I've read good things about Gladney and I like the tape, and we really needed CB help, so I like this pick. He seems to be a perfect fit skill set wise. Would have been happy going DT here also.

I am hoping Rick addresses OL and DT today and possibly trades up into the 2nd for a total of two 2nd round picks. If we still have a 3rd after trading up, I would like to see DE or S, depending on what happens with a potential Harris trade.

I gave it a B. Jefferson was the clear BPA there, which is why the experts loved it. Given our needs and the depth at the position, I'd have either moved up a few slots and filled grabbed help on the DL or taken the offer NE got for help in rounds 2 and 3. Not sure that was the best decision, but they got a top 15 talent that fell... Hopefully he makes an impact.

I know Danchat is not high on Gladney, but he definitely fits the system. Moving back to get him and picking up a 4 and 5 is not a bad decision. In all, 2 needs were address, just not the ones I wanted. It wasn't bad, so I shouldn't complain too much. It will be interesting to see what they do tonight. If they come home with Williams for Reiff and a day 3 pick and then get some significant help on their DL and another OG/CB/QB, I'd be pretty happy.

I have to think they're pretty high on Samia and Udoh... I hope that's the case at least.
