Chatter is picking up that Trent will be a Viking...

Trent has been one of my favorite all time Redskins players, he has a strong work ethic, football culture, great talent and has been a positive face of our team for years now. In terms of me being a fan I hold him in the same regard as I do Darrell Green, Art Monk, Sean Taylor as iconic Redskins players.

I think the media has made him out to be the "bad guy" in all this. I have listened to his side of the story during a local sports talk radio interview where he claims its not about securing a new contract or the money but its all about the way the team has treated him and his medical problems. Trent feels that the team purposely overlooked his medical problem in order that he would not miss games.

Some positives of acquiring Trent Williams:

1) you would get one of the best LT to play the game since he has been in the league
2) he knows Kirks tendencies and has protected his blind side for most of Kirks NFL career
3) he has had time to rest up and heal from all those nagging injuries that kept coming back every year

I would hate to see him go, but I do understand that to much has happened between him and the upper team management for it to end any other way..

The silver lining in all this is that he might end up on my other favorite team
