That's what I'm thinking too, I'd rather get a young guy and do this re-tooling properly. Trading for a guy, so spending draft picks, AND giving them a big contract is, in my mind, more expensive then just trading up for Wills. Yes you'll spend more draft capital on getting Wills but contract wise you essentially get a draft pick back due to how much money you'll save and can spend else where.

And if everything goes Tits up, 6-10 type year we clean house and the new staff is in a much better position long term.

Williams would make sense if we were one OT away from superbowl contenders and you didn't want to risk a rookie being the difference between a SB or not.

The problem as I see it is that there are too many holes to fill... if this team is willing to take a step back in 2020, sure... I don't think they are. Williams is an elite tackle, so I'm not sure trading up makes sense here when you can get him for a mid-to-late pick plus Reiff. Washington is up a crick without a paddle on this one.. they have zero leverage.

At that point, you can use 22 and 25 on a CB, DT, or OL type.... all of which we would still need after acquiring Williams.
