Vick was given a second chance. Let's be honest: AB is a puke, especially with how overly-sensitive we all are in 2020, but what Vick did was on another level of disgusting and disgraceful. If he can be given a second chance, anyone can be.
I think the difference is that Vick served two years in prison and appeared to come out as a reformed person; Brown has allegedly committed rape and also "burglary with battery, burglary of an occupied conveyance and criminal mischief", and I also suspect from other things we've heard, he's likely abused his own children. Vick committed some atrocious crimes, but he was rightly punished and from everything we know, has stopped committing crimes. For what we know, Brown has refused any sort of therapy or mental help that he clearly needs, and he's probably still committing more crimes, unlike Vick (in all likelihood).
If Brown actually cleans up his act... which would either require prison time or tons of therapy, perhaps I would consider giving him a second chance. Emphasis on perhaps.
I also can't get behind a guy who abandons his team mid-training camp due to unbelievably petty reasons. He needs help, not a job in the NFL.
