Awful Announcing has learned that the NFL is considering a tripleheader of NFL Network games on December 21, the Saturday before Christmas. As per a source, the league currently plans to air three games on NFL Network that day.
There’s no indication yet of if these games would be exclusive to NFL Network or simulcast on other broadcast partners, and there’s no indication of what teams and timeslots would be involved. But this would seem to be a reasonably logical play for the league. They’ve previously scheduled Saturday doubleheaders on NFL Network around Christmas, including doing so in each of the two weeks before Christmas last year.

Curt Menefee, Kurt Warner, Steve Mariucci, and Nate Burleson did a game last year. And if that wasn't bad enough, these clowns Rich Eisen, Kurt Warner, Michael Irvin, and Steve Mariucci handled the London game earlier in the year. 4 ... count em ... 4 broadcasters in the same booth at the same time. And I don't even think any of them understood what their role was. Am I the play by play guy or the analyst? How bout we just talk whenever?
Still better than Beth Mowins, Chris Berman, Trent Dilwad, or Jason Witten however. The NFL world has a shortage of quality tolerable announcers as it does QB's and OL.
