ONeil started most of his rookie season too.
Harris wasn't a draft pick and didn't really catch on until a few years after he signed with us.
Theilen also was undrafted and took a few years to get starts, but was Mr Mankato and a fan favorite from day one. Hunter and Griffen stood out from day one as well. I can post the articles if you like.
The talk around Watts and Samia is pretty meh. Watching them in preseason and actual games they were also pretty meh. I didn't see that with the guys you mentioned above save maybe Harris.
They could be great, but that would be defying the odds and a relatively slow start.
The fact that Harris and Theilen were undrafted is the point. They came out of nowhere. NOBODY expected them to be top tier NFL players, yet our team developed them into that. Same with Hunter. Griffen was a 4th round pick for a reason.
Point is it's not all the big name guys that end up being major contributors, and it stands to reason we have more guys like that currently on the roster.
