The 3 options are likely irrelevant since the Vikings will extend Cook at some point. This is their managerial/ownership m.o. and you know it. Saying you'd rather go with Gurley than Cook is just your anti-Spielman bias causing you to say something ridiculous.

Why are you listing Cook with those? We traded up in the 2nd for Cook. So we actually gave up a 2nd round pick plus more for Cook.

He is far from a mid to late round RB.

Just pointing out that you don't have to give a lot of money or a 1st round pick. Even a 2nd rounder isn't terribly high.

I'd prefer even later, but I'm definitely not a fan of any team, in any situation, doing what Atlanta did with Gurley.

But you're right.... I think so too... they will re-sign Cook..... unfortunately..... and then when he misses half a season next year everyone will act surprised and call it "simply bad luck" lol

He had an acl which isn't uncommon especially for running backs. Then hammy which was a complication from the acl recovery. Then whatever he had this year. He's built a little light for the position but it's possible he will be relatively less injury prone for a few years going forward barring another acl. I don't have a crystal ball though. Gurley is a different case imho. That knee will never get better.
