I think Odenigbo was great last year in a limited, situational pass rushing role.... but as a full time starter, I think he wont be nearly as effective.
Why? I hear that a lot when a young guy replaces a fan favorite. In this case it would be Griffen. Can you give me an example? I know he hasn't started but Odenigbo has been in the league for a few years and finally got his chance to show what he's got....and he looked good. Add another offseason and he should be good to go.
Watts I have my doubts about.... altho like you, I think he is capable. But I see him as a good backup, not starter. Of the young DTs, I think Jaleel Johnson might be the one primed to make another jump and solidify a starting spot...
Watts has a golden opportunity and I see him in the mix. Maybe will draft his buddy McTelvin Agim....
Jaleel Johnson could very well be ready to start.
Hill..... our best CB... I went out on a limb and claimed so during this past season..... and I still believe it.... Zimmer wouldnt start him ahead of Rhodes though.... curious to see if Rhodes agrees to a paycut... I think Zimmer will want to retain his fav guy Rhodes at a discount...... instead of cutting him...... and if that happens. Then I'd be very curious to see how Hill/Rhodes snaps are split this upcoming season.
I like Hill. He looks like he has the skills and demeaner to be a good CB for us.
I'm really hoping Rhodes goes to another team
