Joseph is likely next, because $5.2M of his base salary becomes fully guaranteed if he's still on the roster on March 20. Probably no hurry with Rhodes. If I'm Rick, I would just sit on Rhodes' situation until either a) I need the cap space for another move or to sign draft picks, b) he agrees to a significant pay cut without any further guaranteed money (i.e. he could still be cut, see BRob and Newmann situations) or c) some desperate team offers us anything in a trade (late round pick, old team bus, $100 cash, etc.).
I can clearly see there's a group of us (that's me) on here that want new and or younger players to replace the older guys. Not only will these older guys be less effective, they'll likely slow down and fade away. To top it off their contracts don't make financial sense.
Then there's the other group. This group wants to keep these older players because they believe the team can't or won't get better with new and or younger replacements. I also believe there's some sentimental stuff going. Thus the reason they want to restructure some of the players mentioned so they can continue playing for us.
What about the group that doesn't want Zimmer or Spielman in 2020 regardless of the roster.
