You could say that supplementing the roster via free agency is wise, getting guys like Alexander and Matthieu to help build quality rosters, but relying on FA moves to fix many holes on the roster usually doesn't work.
i think you are correct. If you mix in a top free agent occasionally it can really bolster your team but for every steve Hutchinson there are alot more fred smoots bernard berrians and greg Jennings types. For this offseason the only position id look to spend big money would be at left guard for a guy like thuey. Maybe trade for an extend trent williams but there are very few defensive players id break the bank for and that includes our own guys
