Understand I don't care about other Owners GMs and or HC unless I specifically bring them to the table when I post. I was talking solely about the owners of this team.

We do not have a winning culture or I wouldn't nor many others be talking about change in leadership. A yo yo team isn't a winning culture.

I will also add the Wilfs aren't in it for me and you. They couldn't care less. They have done nothing for me other than drain common peoples pockets and fill their own. If they want to do something for fans then get a SB. I would sit in the old dome for 20 more years if they could give us multiple SB wins in its place.

It's sustained success and being able to play with the big dogs not be pretenders. You know actually beat teams of substance not just bottom feeders. Actuall growth as an organization not status quo.

They being Zimmer and Spielman said we where one player away if not by words by their actions of selling out for the final piece. That has failed.

So the teams you mention why them? I mean what have we got more than them and why only name them? Narrative? Agenda? Their culture may be just as good as ours. No way to tell. I guess their fans are built off excuses as well. I mean they have had growth one year and maybe not as good the next. No different then the Vikings.

Don't even go the excuse route. That train left the station years ago. Every team deals with injury. How did they Chiefs look vs us this year with their starting QB out and 2 OL. How about the Eagles in 2017.

Why where the Vikings so bad this year if they where so injured prior yet so healthy this year yet could only win 10 games and only 1 win vs a winning team? So by your description this was actually a worse showing because there wasn't any excuse.

So what has changed in culture? I guess I see culture in a different way. All I see is players underperforming and staff with no answers. I see very little fire from a HC that was supposed to be TNT. He's soft so is his team. We may not have the love boat or ticket scandles but we still have players getting in trouble and the w/l totals aren't much better. Wow 5 wins vs 8 wins isn't much different when you factor in this GM and HC have been given everything you could ask and still nothing to show.

Anyway, this highlighted part, that was mostly my point, too. Speaking of BS that gets thrown around, it's how the Wilfs are somehow different or special in "not being football guys." That's simply not true. And I've been waiting for a while now for an explanation of what a "football mind owner" is and how the Wilfs can get there, but, ... nothing. It's simply nonsense that people like to throw around when they need another person to blame. Most NFL owners aren't unique or special for not being football minds. The ones who fall into that category are actually the unique ones. But, narrative... 

Not a sniff at a Super Bowl since 2005? That's not how I remember it at all. Yeah, we haven't gotten the job done yet, but there are plenty of positives and fond memories in the past 15 years. Admittedly, I've been a fan just over 20 years, because I'm not as old as some here, but I don't think I'm some sort of victim for being a Vikings fan. I truly feel like we've had some good times. We've had some bad times, too, but that's all part of the process. I accept that. Oh, for the record, just because I'm not crying about never winning a Super Bowl, that doesn't mean I want one any less than others. That's just not how I roll. I'm absolutely the glass half-full type! If my Vikings fanhood was Super Bowl or bust, why would I have allowed myself to pick the Vikings in the first place? I wouldn't have... I wasn't tricked by the sexiness of the 70s like some here. I went in knowing the emotional damage the Vikings have caused, still cause, and will continue to cause. Just waiting for that BRIEF MOMENT IN TIME when we can finally truly celebrate. I'm not old and crotchety yet, so I think I have enough time. 



Anyway, regarding the Wilfs, I've attended dozens and dozens of games over the past 15 years at the Dome, TCF, and US Bank. I've also attended several other Vikings events. I've also spent thousands of hours reading articles, watching videos, listening to interviews, etc. from the Vikings owners, coaches, players, former players, fans... I see/hear a lot of things at games (interviews, halftime shows, etc.) that many here don't. I absolutely feel we have something good here with this team and its culture. I've definitely seen a culture change since Zimmer has been coach. It's undeniable. If people don't want to buy into that, so be it. But I'm hardly a crazy for doing so.

I'll reiterate my appreciation for the Wilfs - what they've done for the team, former players, and community.

Also, just to clarify, I didn't mean I had "inside info". I just mean that, as someone who has been attending Vikings events and games for many years now, I've definitely noticed the culture change as well as seen many of the things that the Wilfs do that don't get shown on TV. The guys care a lot; I find it cheap and lazy when people suggest otherwise, just because we haven't won a Super Bowl yet. That "logic" is dumbed-down so much it's embarrassing. In sum: right or wrong, because of the dozens of events I've attended over the years, Vikings football is a bit more humanized for me. Yes, I want the Vikings to win just as much as everyone else does - actually, probably more so - but I can also appreciate our owners, coaches, and players as people too, even when things don't always go as planned. I won't be apologizing for that any time soon. This is entertainment, that I willingly choose to pay for, both with time and money. I fully understand and accept the Vikings make me no promises.

Sensitive much? I'm not "chasing you around the forum with my agenda". Good Lord. I said I knew I still wanted to reply to this post, but then I forgot, because I got busy. Seeing this recent news about the Wilfs triggered me to remember this thread. No more, no less. 

Also, the Wilfs weren't bragging. Schefter picked the story up. And, again, a lot of what they do goes largely unnoticed, because they don't brag about it. So ... ?  

Anyway, re-read the thread, and you'll see how we got to this point. You kind of jumped in when I was talking to others/asking others to clarify some of their comments, and now you got your panties in a bunch.

You don't like the Vikings owners. Congratulations. But they aren't going anywhere, so... buckle up and try to enjoy the ride!

Well you said one accurate thing there among the otherwise idiotic b.s.-- the Wilfs aren't going anywhere...as in anywhere near a Lombardi trophy anytime soon, unless the Chiefs invite them for dinner lol.

Is this why you hang around Packers fans? There is at least ONE thing they won't complain about: the owners.
