jeez. just a guess but i think he gets traded this offeason. could be he wanted out last season and the team told his agent wait until the season is over. jmo. either way he didn't answer with "man i'm glad to be in minny, looking forward to 2020" or anything remotely sounding like he wants to be here

If we recall before the 2019, Diggs was the one who said “There’s truth to all rumors” when his name was brought up in trade proposals.

I’ll keep beating this drum... If the offense is focused on running the ball, we don’t need to dedicate this much cap space to 2 elite WRs.

Especially when one of them has had this many open disagreements with the philosophy.

Hell, I'm not sure any offensive scheme warrants paying two wide receivers that much money. That position is much easier to plug and play.

that's my belief as well. college receivers are much more prepared entering the league compared to years past. heck our 7th rd pick johnson last year came through with 30 catches in a backup role. plus we have mr training camp chad beebe who may be ready to actually contribute next season. it's great having two all pro caliber wrs, but it isn't needed

They've got a couple guys up front I'd swap Diggs for. Might ask for something along with them, but that's definitely the right idea.

It’s unlikely Adam has multiple 1000 yard seasons left in him. Bisi will never be a #1. Irv Smith is a TE on a run-first team so unless he becomes Kittle-like he isn’t the answer.

Overrating our young players is fine but I have serious concerns at the pass-catching positions.

Draft a rookie you say? So now we’re using picks to fill a massive hole we just created? Our track record of drafting young WR’s isn’t spectacular. For every Diggs/Thielen we’ve uncovered there has been a Patterson/Treadwell we’ve missed on.

I don’t get y’all sometimes. I would encourage offenses to keep their best weapons. Trade someone who doesn’t make plays out there.

During an appearance on PFT Live, Diggs said there were “rough” patches during the year but that making the playoffs and advancing to the divisional round were a sign that they found the right approach for their team. That approach remained heavier on running the ball, which Diggs said is OK as long as the results are positive for the team.

“You want all wheels turning at all times,” Diggs said. “In the year previous to that, we were heavier on the pass and didn’t run enough. This year, we’re heavier on the run and some feel like we didn’t pass enough. To have that healthy balance is hard to say because it’s whatever’s going to win you the week.”

Diggs’ 63 catches were way down from the 102 he snagged in 2018, but he wound up with a career-high 1,130 receiving yards over the 15 games he played in 2019.

Salary caps create a scarcity of resources. I don't see the benefit in such a large chunk of it devoted to one position group that has such a limited impact. 30M is far better spent other places.

I understand salary caps. Not sure many here understand resource management. The name of the game has never been impact/salary. Relative production and market value make Diggs a must-keep imo. Can’t say the same for dudes like Barr, Thielen or Cook.

I want more invested in O line too but not by trading away game changers in their prime for draft picks that might not even make the team.

He is a bit of a Diva and makes his fair share of mistakes - drops and penalties. But when you need a big play you need to have somebody to turn too.

Depends on the return... If Thielen only fetches a 3-5th round pick and Diggs can fetch you a 1st or 2nd I’d lean towards the higher return.

You answered it. Receivers accomplish nothing without a line to protect them and a QB to deliver the ball. You want to know how I'd invest my money? Here's the order of importance:

QB (If they're worth it of course)
D-line
O-line
DBs (CB in particular)

(big drop off)

LB

(Another big drop off)

WR/TE
RB
