Let me break this down so you know exactly where I'm coming from. We signed Linval joseph in 2014 when he was 26 years old. Joseph is now 31. The NFL is brutal on your body and it will not get better with age. Eventually you get beat up and slow down. Joseph's contract being an easy target? Not really. It's a business and our cap situation dictates that we cut the fat. It happens!
The reason I suggested we sign a younger DT in free agency like we did with Linval in 2014 is because that said FA should give us the same production than Linval...maybe better. We have very good coaching there. Double down with a early pick for interior DL in April and that part of our defensive line could be in a better spot going forward. We'll have that FA signing, Watts, Holmes, J.Johnson and a draft pick. I say we let Joseph wind down his career with another team. No hard feelings.....
Boston---He's no good. Cut him yesterday. He is garbage to us now.
Minnesota---He has been good to us. Only made $50 million while doing it. What about his kids?
