McNabb and Mahomes (Smith was hardly developed by Reid, rather simply aquired)? I would say Holmgren takes the cake with Favre, Brunell, Hassleback, not to mention the work he did as Montana's coordinator.
Then you also have Shula with Unitas and Marino.
Reid was also on that GB staff with Favre tho. He joined the GB staff the same year they drafted Favre and was his QB coach during his MVP season.
We all know McNabb was great but Reid also made the playoffs with a washed Jeff Garcia while in Philly. He then took Michael Vick, who literally just left prison, and turned him into an MVP candidate.
Alex Smith was coming into his own late in his SF days but he flourished immediately under Reid. Set new career highs in almost every metric and had 5 straight winning seasons as Reid’s starter. Props to Smith here more than anyone tho.
Mahomes has won an MVP and Superbowl before his 4th season.
Reid is absolutely the GOAT to me but Holmgren deserves to be in the convo and I wouldn’t be mad if people leaned him.
You know Favre was drafted by Atlanta. It doesn't affect your argument but most people on here would use it against it somehow.
Just a friendly note.
