To explain more about Addison...
Addison (5-9, 197) was predominately a quarterback in high school. A four-star recruit out of Missouri City, Texas, Addison chose to play college football at Oregon where he made the switch to wide receiver. He never broke the 1,000-yard receiving barrier, but he had productive sophomore and junior seasons, hauling in 60+ passes for over 800 yards each season. He was also a potent punt returner, taking three punts back for touchdowns in his three-year college career. Addison went pro after catching 10 TD passes his junior year.
He caught on with Denver as an undrafted free agent in 2016. After being waived by the Broncos during final roster cuts he signed with Chicago and joined their practice squad. Addison ultimately appeared in the season finale against the Vikings at US Bank Stadium, catching one pass for 11 yards in his only NFL game.
Addison’s CFL career began in 2018. Following a quiet regular season he caught fire in the playoffs after replacing an injured Terrell Sinkfield at wide receiver. Addison then went on to enjoy a breakout season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2019, catching 95 passes for 1,236 yards and 7 touchdowns. He also ran the ball 36 times for 218 yards and a touchdown. For his efforts he was named a CFL All-Star.
The shifty speedster, now 26, has earned himself another opportunity in the NFL. Best of luck to the Vikings’ newest receiver, Bralon Addison.

As part of our coverage leading up to the 2016 NFL Draft we will provide profiles of more than 150 prospects, including a scouting report and video interviews with each player.
Bralon Addison (WR), Oregon
5’9” | 197 lbs.
2015 stats:
63 receptions, 804 yards, 10 TD
Projection:
3rd Round
Scouting Report:
"Like many skill position players coming out of Oregon, Addison won't fit nicely into a positional box so there will be teams who pass him over regardless of how he performs at the combine. Addison does provide instant competition as a punt returner and a difficult cover for slot corners thanks to his ability to separate. Addison should be more confident with his knee next season and could end up outperforming his draft slot as a pro if he finds the right fit." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

Addison joins former Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive back Marcus Sayles, who signed earlier this off-season, in Minnesota.
The 26-year-old finished last season with 95 receptions for 1,236 yards and seven touchdowns in 16 regular season games for the Tiger-Cats last season.
"Addison took his time weighing offers from the Vikings, San Francisco 49ers, and Cleveland Browns before finally making a decision," TSN's Farhan Lalji reported. "Addison does have a relationship with All-Pro receiver Stefon Diggs. The two played high school football in the same area and Addison did reach out to Diggs and sought his advice before finally making a decision.
"With Addison, he’s not necessarily going to be a player that gets involved in the return game or play on specials, he’s not necessarily a pure straight line speed guy, but he does have a tremendous amount of quickness and if he’s going to make this team he’s going to have to do it as a slotback. He does have some versatility, he has plenty of intelligence, and can be moved around in an offence."
