My takeaway? I really don't care what people from organizations are telling draft websites. It's mostly smoke. Especially without the combine and pro-days out of the way.

Yeah, they really didn't like Watson. That did explain why Watson went third after Trubisky and Mahomes, though, and they clearly didn't talk to the Texans.

Very few teams Oklahoma faces are very good. several other conferences are now better.

I believe it's 38-4. Also, if you only count games against top 25 opponents, it's 18-3.

Bigger question is how many of those Big Twelve teams should have been ranked? Conference is very weak and play very few teams from other power conferences (and if they do they unusually lose.

He went 26-2 at Alabama before Tua Tagovailoa replaced him, prompting Hurts to transfer to Oklahoma. Hurts was 12-2 last season, passing for 3,851 yards and 32 touchdowns while rushing for 1,298 yards and 20 scores.

“I win,” Hurts said, stating his obvious strength.

Still, Hurts has a lot to prove to scouts in the pre-draft process.

“I don’t want to get into comparisons [with other prospects],” Hurts said. “That’s kind of like the kiss of death. I try to be the best version of myself. Go out there and try to win, try to lead my guys, build relationships with my guys. Win ball games.

It had been reported in the past that teams were willing to sign Tim Tebow as a TE, but he apparently only wanted to play QB. That's the only example I can think of off the top of my head.

Former QBs Logan Thomas and Marqueis Gray have transitioned from QB to blocking TE in recent years. Sometimes I think scouts see the QB's build (Thomas is 6'6" 250) and think about them at other spots.

Hurts, though... apparently he's just 6'2" 218. He's also not a killer scrambler like Lamar was, as I can at least understand why some teams thought about him as a WR. Perhaps there is some bias here after all...
