As a 10-6 team who has been inconsistent at best, we will be underdogs throughout the post season and rightfully so. That being said, I do think we match up well enough to beat all of teams. It's just the mental errors that concern me. Looking at some of those plays vs Saints, some big plays were given up because the DBs seem to be confused on what their assignment was. 4th quarter is when it seems like our defense is at its worse, especially if it's a close game. Zimmer hops into his prevent defense if we have the lead, which doesn't work most of the time because all it does is eat clock and sometimes the other team still scores. When we probably would've been better off giving up the big play, atleast we'd have time to get back on offense with enough time to drive down the field.
If we can just clean up the mental errors, I like our chances. Stefanski needs to call a better game as well. Stop running every 1st and 2nd down. And stop doing those toss plays every running down as well. We did several toss plays against the Saints and most resulted in negative plays. We need way more PA. You know teams will be locked in on Dalvin the deeper we get into this post season. We can't do that conservative bs we did against NO. We're lucky they shot themselves in the foot a couple of times. I still think that fumble Brees gave up was the turning point because they were in scoring range.
