If Cousins loses to the Saints, where do you stand?

Yup.  Manning had a bunch of 12-4 seasons.  Matter of fact his record in Indy was 141-67.    With 1 Super Bowl win in 13 years. He couldn't get it done but once.   Why?   

It depends completely on the circumstances of his performance, because the reality is he's here in 2020 no matter what, so using a 1st rounder on a QB isn't likely.  Contractually he's set and no one is going to trade for him unless we throw in a 1st round pick (which we ain't going to do)

You can't put numbers on it, its an eyeball test, but if Kirk does his part vs Saints but the team loses, then Kirk has bought himself more time ... but not yet an extension.  In my eyes he blew the extension with that performance against GB.  and beating the Saints also wouldn't get him an extension yet.

Because he was basically the whole freaking team, and had crap for a defense.

When you get in the playoffs, with the best of the best, and the teams with balance, not even an elite QB can save you. An elite QB is sexy, but they don't with Super Bowls without a good team and coaching around them.

By and far, Manning was the better QB.  In my opinion Manning was much better than Brady.  What Brady had was a defense.

I have already done the name game multiple times go find them. I also have no idea how many people could be available that may not have been. People don't get asked to shut up that have no solid reason to keep Zimmer Spielman or Cousins they just keep flapping their collective lips. I have yet to hear a solid reason as to why we should keep any of them at this point. Especially from you. Not one is doing what was expected from them.

I don't think you get good discussion acting like a spoiled brat that just goes on a tirade crying about others with a different view point. You added absolutely nothing to discussion other than crying about others crying.

Well we wouldn't be doing our jobs as fans if we just shut up about it. We vote with our wallets and our cheers/boos, and sometimes it works.

No! And here's why ... most of us spend most of our time on the Vikings, watching them, listening to podcasts, reading articles, etc etc, and hardly any time on any other team. So it's very easy to understand who isn't doing their job on the Vikings, but not so easy to know who to replace them with. If you're doing a bad job, your job shouldn't necessarily be safe just because the person who isn't doing the hiring/firing isn't familiar with all the best available replacement candidates.

Because it is our job to complain about it lol. And we do have a solution, we're voting to get rid of the weak link, and then trust the powers that be to hire the best possible replacement. Which is their job. It's like being a passenger on a plane and complaining about how drunk your pilot is. Just because you don't know what other sober replacement pilots might be available, doesn't mean you're not allowed to speak up lol. You trust the airline to do it's job, and if they don't, you find a new airline to do business with.

Well not necessarily. Sure maybe if you want to hire someone who has already been a HC you can have a better idea and offer some suggestions, but we still lack the insider information on all the best available candidates. We can't just pick up the phone and ask around like the front office can. We can't interview anyone either. And as I mentioned earlier, as fans of the Vikings, we each have a lot more infon on Zim than any of these other candidates, so it's so much easier to pass judgement on him. We've analyzed his entire body of work for 6 years now, and haven't even spent a fraction of that time analyzing anyone else. What you're asking is for fans to spend that kind of time on 31 other teams, and ain't nobody got that kind of time xD.

The QB is a little easier because we can look at stats, watch highlights, or even see them play when we watch other games. Their body of work is on display for everyone to see. It still requires a lot of homework though. It's not like Madden where you can just plug any QB into any system. Which is our knock on Spielman and Zimmer sometimes. They try to plug pieces in that don't seem like they fit into whatever system they're trying to run. Like we couldn't just trade for Lamar Jackson tomorrow and expect our offense to be as good as Baltimore's. We'd have to completely change or system, unless we try to make Jackson fit our system, which is probably what the Vikings would try to do haha.

Well yeah, people have their own lives to live, and are probably working 40-50 hours a week at their own job lol. For the Vikings front office, this is their job. Complaining is our vote.

I see what you're getting at, and that would be more fun, but we can't really expect a list of the best available candidates in that scenario. Plus if someone throws out a name that most people have never heard of, well then what? Well now the fans have to research that guy if they want to comment. Nobody is here to do homework. Well I don't mind, but I don't have much of a life so I need to keep busy xD.

Not our job no, but some people enjoy doing that stuff for fun. Some people collect stamps in their spare time, or do crossword puzzles, and some do mock drafts. The point is, it's what they choose to do in their spare time because they enjoy it.

All the things you listed above are things that are done every year, so it makes sense for people to spend time on them. GM/coaching/QB changes don't happen every year. They're unpredictable, so how do you expect people to spend time on them? How would that even work? You want people to follow the front office/coaching staffs of all the teams in the league so once every 5-10 years they have a list of all the best available candidates that nobody else has probably heard of lol? Lots of people do mock drafts and follow college football, to there's a market there, and other people to talk to and compare ideas with. There's no interest in following execs because it would be boring, and it's something you hope you don't need to do. If you had to change GM/coaches every year, then more people would get involved in such a thing.

If the fans don't vote with their wallets and their cheers/boos, then the owners will just roll with the cheapest coaches/players available. There's no reason for them to seek the best available if you're going to fill their bank account regardless of the success of the team. So when the team isn't meeting your expectation as a fan, it's your job to let them know. They don't run a football league because it's a need, they run it to make money, and they do that by entertaining us the fans. If we're not entertained, it's their job to fix it. It's not our job to fix it for them. That's why we pay them.
