Not fake news! I am a season ticket holder (and have been for years) my eyes saw exactly what I posted. The occasional back slap and laughing it up, sums up a team that in my mind, knows they are done. The window has closed and the offseason is near. I fail to see the cohesiveness with this team. Kick me off your forum if you only want people who view life through your purple glasses, but my stake in this fandom is no less relevant than yours.
This team is in cap hell because of a coach who wants "his players" see Barr as example one and a GM who hasn't replenished talent fast enough. The ownership has been AWESOME, given these 2 everthing they want and the reality of it all is they haven't beaten they higher caliber teams with an "All-Pro" salary structure.
I'm a season ticket holder, as well. And I definitely didn't see it like you did. There were several veteran players dialed in the entire game. Others would swap back and forth between chatting it up and watching their teammates. That's typical. Not sure why you're looking so deeply into this. You think they've given up? Just because some fans have already quit, that doesn't mean the team has. The fight our backups showed yesterday? And we're expected to believe the team has given up? Not buying it.
And no one said anything about kicking you off the forum. Again, look around. You're in the majority. Please don't be so sensitive to the whole five people here who might challenge your views right now. Just because our views are challenged, that doesn't mean we're not welcomed here. This is how message boards work. Discuss and debate ... not all agreements and high-fives ... or as of late, all crying in our beers. We don't all have to agree. And good thing, because we're simply not going to. And if we did, it'd be boring.
In sum: Yes, the shot was taken, but no, I don't think there is an issue with the team's culture. Guys want to stay here and come here for a reason. The guys in that locker room love each other. The evidence is everywhere you look. It's full of guys who want to win. Don't confuse desire/passion with results. Sometimes it doesn't work out, but to suggest they've given up/don't care? That's outrageous.
