So in the playoffs, do you put the guy that sucks on their best player on their team (Thomas)?

No, nobody with half a brain would under these circumstances.

So that leadup brings me to my question..... since the obvious call is to NOT put Rhodes on Thomas on Sunday....... isn't Waynes considered our next best CB? A top 11 draft pick of Spielgod.... who has had time to more or less enter his prime years..... so why has NOBODY on this board suggested we have our great #11 pick CB Waynes be on Thomas the whole game?

Just asking the tough question. Hoping for some apolitical and direct answers.

I suspect Zimmer will continue to rotate in CBs in the playoffs. It has worked pretty well in the last few weeks.

Understood. It is another shot at Spielgod, but another one based on logical thinking, I would argue.

If Rhodes is the top CB, and hes suckinf all season. We invested a top 11 pick on Waynes and this is a scenario where, on paper, he would step in and cover their best guy.

But I haven't heard one person on here mention that as an option. Why is that?? You are too wise to play along, so I will state it plainly since you won't.

Waynes is not trusted. He is a bust. His only saving grace is that Xavier has gotten the brunt of the criticism this season. Otherwise, Waynes (for an 11th overall pick) would and should get just as much!

But I actually think they will shadow Rhodes with Thomas. Waynes is more suited to cover the fast Ginn and Smith on the other side. Thomas isn't a burner so Rhodes can stay with him, I'm just hoping that we use Rhodes the way he should be used, jamming at the line to disrupt.

Even with half a season gone, Thielen still tied for the team lead with six touchdown catches. (He was one of numerous starters to be held out in the regular-season finale against the Bears).

Diggs knows the value that Thielen brings to the Vikings, as the duo makes up one of the NFL’s top pass-catching tandems when healthy.

“I always want success for my guys, especially a guy like him,” Diggs said. “He got an injury and fought to come back with his teammates, so I look forward to him having a big game.

“I’m always anticipating him having a good one, and it’s nothing different this time,” Diggs added.

Is he a bust? I would think not, especially when Treadwell has given us the roadmap for what should qualify as a bust.

I think he's more along the lines of a disappointment than a bust, and depending on your level of Rick-hatred, that could be viewed as semantics.

Thomas is a big physical WR & those are the WRs Rhodes does better against in theory. And regarding Waynes well you know what i think of him the last 2 years from MVN, hope the playoffs are the last time he ever starts for us.

in no way is Waynes capable of handling Thomas physically.
