All of these assume the Saints beat the Colts tonight on MNF, although they wouldn't change too much if they lost.
Vikings #1 Seed:
Vikings: win-out (Bears and Packers)
Packers: lose-out (at Vikings and at Lions)
Saints: lose at Panthers week 17
Seahawks: lose to the Cardinals next week and tie the 49ers week 17
49ers: lose to the Rams next week and tie the Seahawks week 17
Vikings #2 Seed:
Vikings: win-out
Packers: lose-out or tie the Lions week 17
Saints: lose at Panthers week 17
Vikings Win the Division:
Vikings: win-out
Packers: lose-out or tie the Lions week 17
Vikings #5 Seed:
Vikings: win-out
Packers: win at Detroit week 17
49ers: lose at Seattle week 17
Vikings Miss the Playoffs:
Vikings: lose-out
Rams: win-out
So that's pretty much it. The #1 seed is going to take a miracle at this point because the only way it's possible is if the Seahawks and 49ers tie week 17. Ofc they almost tied just a few weeks ago so it's possible I guess haha.
There's still a good shot at the #2 seed however, But if we do win the division, we'll most likely have the #3 seed, unless Kyle Allen can finally pull his head out of his ass.
As for our possible wildcard opponents, things just got more interesting now that the 49ers lost to the Falcons. If we manage to steal the #5 seed, we'll end up playing at Dallas or at Philly. The 49ers will most likely beat the Rams at home next week, but then lose at Seattle, and that would give us the #5 seed if we win-out and the Packers beat Detroit.
As the #3 seed we'll most likely host the Packers in the wildcard round, but there's a very small chance we could host the 49ers, but that would take a tie between the Packers and Lions week 17. It would take another miracle for us to host the Seahawks in the wildcard round as the 3rd seed, they would have to lose at home to the Cardinals and 49ers.
As the 6th seed, we'll either be at Lambeau or New Orleans. If the Saints beat the Panthers and (the Colts or Titans), and the Packers beat Detroit, we're headed to Lambeau. If the Saints lose to the Panthers, then we're headed to New Orleans. There's only the tiniest chance we could end up at Seattle in the wildcard round as the 6th seed, but the Seahawks would have to lose at home to the Cardinals, then tie the 49ers, and the 49ers would have to lose at home to the Rams, and the Vikings would have to lose to the Packers or Bears.
