We have to win-out and the Packers lose 2 of 3 just to win the division, which would be a small miracle itself, and it would take a major miracle for us to get a bye at this point. At least 3 really good teams would all have to choke down the stretch.

If the Vikings beat the Chargers, but lose to the Packers, and the Rams lose their next 2, and the Bears lose 1 of their next 2, the Vikings will be locked into the 6th seed and could rest their starters week 17.

In any other scenario the Vikings will either be within 1 game of the division, or the Rams or Bears will be within 1 game of us for the 6th seed. Like say the Vikings beat the Chargers and Packers, well then the division will be on the line week 17. If we beat the Chargers and lose to the Packers, and the Rams win one of their next 2 games, or the Bears win both their next 2 games, the Vikings would have to win the final game to keep the Rams or Bears from knocking them out.

The only other scenario where we could rest our starters week 17 wouldn't be very pleasant. If we lose to both the Chargers and Packers, and the Rams win both of their next 2, then we'd be eliminated from the playoffs before our final game lol. A scenario that wouldn't surprise me at all.

Ok maybe I coulda thought it out more. Thanks. I know we all want in. I just thought that The Bears and the Rams losing would automatically be good for that. Just win the last three games and answer a ton of questions.

If being a Viking fan was easy ~ everyone would do it.
