I've said it a dozen times. Zimmer (and, therefore, Spielman) have had historically bad luck at the QB position. Teddy's injury was absolutely brutal. Teams don't easily bounce back from that, but haven't we? And the reason this team even has expectations in the first place? Because of the work Spielman and Zimmer have put in. Anyone remember 2010-2013? Good times, huh? So, while we have not reached the ultimate goal yet, let's not discredit all that these guys have done.

I guess I don't understand how it's so black and white for people. "No Super Bowl, so people need to be fired!" We can't ignore the process and pretend it doesn't matter. It does. We still have a REALLY good football team, and that's because of the Wilfs, Spielman, and Zimmer. It's really that simple. Are any of them perfect? No. But it's important to keep things in perspective and be fair. Accusing ANY of them of not caring about winning is probably the most irrational thing I've ever seen. That's just emotional, bitter nonsense, to be frank.

If so, I must have missed it.... ok, I'll be VERY generous and give them the year with Keenum..... and what did that net us? An embarrassment of a NFCCG

they've brought in talent, and coaches them up.... guess what? every NFL team (yes, even the Bengals) can point to individual players on their roster and brag about how great of a job the GM/coaches have done with those individuals.

The great ones separate themselves by building legit Superbowl contenders capable of beating good teams and winning big games. This is something Spielgod and Zimmer haven't truly done yet.

Well you overlooked one very important detail in your assessment of things. The league doesn't care how you win your games lol. The team with the best record goes to the playoffs, so even if the Rams win ugly against a bad Cowboys team, if the Vikings don't take care of business, they'll be the ones watching the playoffs at home with the rest of us. The Rams finish at home against another bad team, the Cardinals, so I see them easily going 2-1, which means we have to go at least 2-1.

Quite a few in our fanbase are ok with simply flirting with contention. Being "on the cusp"........ beating all the bad teams, losing to the good teams... and every now and then a game here or there in either directions to give hope or crush hope.... but always consistently average team who falls short when it matters the most. If that's not an accurate and fair description of our team the last 8 seasons, then I don't know what is.

As for me? I'm not content with flirting with contention or "being close" or "being in the discussion." My expectation is a true, bonafide Superbowl contending team. If you can't build one in 8 seasons (by NFL standards, a lifetime) then maybe you need to find another line of work. Or at least a change of scenery, but either way, it's not working out with the current team you're supposedly building.

Dallas got back to being Dallas, and not trying to turn Prescott into Tom Brady, VOILA they destroyed the rams.
