I would hate to think there are more reasons to be happy with the path of this team vs wanting change at this point.

They have sold out and the window is shut. That is fair judgment not hyperbole negativity.

I find it ironic I can be labled a bad fan for being realistic yet others that are unrealistic are more or better as fans just because they are so called unrealistically "positive".

Hopeful left the station for some a looooong time ago.

I'm not seeing much to be hopeful about.

I don't buy it's easier to be posative just because.

If you read a post of mine before the start of 2018 and or before much of the concerns have never been addressed or improved.

It would be one thing if the team actually had been good. When it's been pretty much irrelevant for 10-15 yrs with a few good seasons sprinkled in here and there I think hopefull might be a hard sell.

To me change would be a chance for new found hope. As long as we stay with this staff and underachieving over paid team I don't see hope.


I think it might just be harder for some to come to the realization that they do suck.

I just cant make myself happy when it's not a true feeling.

I can sit here today and honestly say we could go winless the rest of the year and it wouldn't shock me a bit.
I can also say we could win out. I just don't see that. I think we win 2 games and that will be enough to sneak in to the 6th seed.

My issue is we got there not beating 1 good club and we have seen what happens to this team and all the indicators that point negatively and are true barometers.

I don't want to play an extra game just to say we made the postseason. There is absolutely no way we can win 3 road games vs winning teams. Then beat the best from the AFC.

I would rather and this sounds bad but would rather not do well and force the owners hand for change then have false hope for yet another year.

I've never seen anyone say everything is good. Clearly we have work to do if we want to make some noise in the playoffs. That's obvious, even to us optimistic types! However, suggesting we should fire and cut everyone and their dog because we haven't already won the Super Bowl in December is a bit ridiculous, too.

You are a 6th seed. You are not on anybody's radar to play, much less win the sb. You are capped this and next. Be honest.

Also, if you want to discuss contracts, we have some threads for that. 2020 and beyond is definitely a concern - there is no denying that - but, regardless, there are a number of things we can do to be okay. No reason to be depressed about the offseason until it's the offseason!
