Hey guys,

I'm at work now, so I'm going to make this pretty short and sweet...

Please welcome all of the guys from Minnesota Vikings Nation. They are a Vikings community, much like our own (also on Proboards) that will be merging with us over the next several weeks.

AlaskanViking and I have been chatting behind the scenes for several weeks about this - and originally we were going to wait until after the season - but with how the season is going, our schedules, etc. ... we decided today that the sooner we do this, the better. So, here we are...

MVN has a lot of good, contributing members, so please welcome them to our Vikings family and let's make the most of this merger! This could be really, really great for ALL OF US!

Hey Everyone, officially my first post on PP. Thanks for being so welcoming. Hope we have some good Vikings talk in the future.

A little about me.. I live in FL, hence my handle of FlaViking (Florida Viking)
Im a NC State Wolfpack Fan and Philadelphia Phillies fan and dont really follow any other sports.

I also brew beer in my spare time and am pretty ingrained in the local beer seen down here in SoFLa.. so if your ever donw her elooking for a brewery to chill at, hit me up.

Hello, Vikings fans!

I’m obviously from Alaska, most people on the forums call me “AK”. I was born in Minnesota, though, and grew up watching the Vikings with my dad. We still talk (actually he rants) about the team on a regular basis.

When I have time for hobbies, I like to get outside: hiking, skiing, snowboarding, basketball.

Welcome fellas. I've been a lurker over on MVN for a few years, so I feel like I'm familiar with a bunch of you already. I like to visit other communities to see what's going on. I especially enjoy reading through game day threads of other boards lol.

Sucks to lose your home or have to move, been there done that enough times myself over the years, but glad you're here and I hope we can help you feel at home here. I think it should work out fine, your board didn't feel all that different from ours.

Are any of you from Minnesota by chance lol? I see Florida and Alaska are represented. Have you lived in Minnesota at some point, or how'd you become Vikings fans? Or should I ask why did you become Vikings fans when there are less disappointing teams out there haha? AlaskanViking says he's from Minnesota so I guess that makes more sense. So why move to Alaska? Minnesota wasn't already cold and miserable enough for ya? Wanted to be able to keep an eye on Russia from your house xD?

Jaded!! That's the word I use when certain people named Funkytown try to accuse me of being a negative nancy. No! Just jaded. I was one of those positive weirdos in the beginning, but the Vikings slowly beat it out of me over the years. I had to be positive, Steckel was my first taste of the Vikings and for some reason I returned for more in '85 xD.
