No that's not getting the right players systems and coaches. That's on Zimmer.

I would say Andy and Bill had their share of not so great QB to work with. They made them better. Andy had a guy in Favre that Atlanta thought was trash. McNabb wasn't a great QB Andy made a system that fit him much like he did with Jeff Garcia Kevin Kolb and Vick. How about Alex Smith? It was a coach that fit the players and system to work. Bill the same he didn't have succes just with Brady. Bledsoe Cassel Garoppolo Brissett to name a few.

Zimmer would still have Teddy if it was up to him. The D has let this team down just as much as the offense and that is totally on Zimmer.

They where always in the hunt and no excuses where made and they never have had what Zimmer has had at his disposal. They all had QBs that got them their. Bledsoe Cassel Brissett and Garoppolo all had to play with Brady out. He was a 6th rd pick that just happened to be one of the best ever. So who are you blaming for that? I guess Wilson shouldn't be good either or Bress or on an on.

You can't argue both sides and that's exactly what you're doing.

The others mentioned got more with less that's the point. The other is they all worked together to be better. It's coaching systems and players that all work together. Zimmer doesn't know how to get to that point. Spielman doesn't know how to get to that point and no amount of time will change that.

I'll play along but you are going about every direction but the one that matters. Bledsoe was injured and Brady came in week 2. Brady got injured in the Steelers game AFCCG and Bledsoe came in and was the winning QB. Cassel won 11 games and was taken out by a tiebreaker. He played out of his ass.

Now what does that have to do with Zimmer failing?

The main problem with this team/franchise is Spielman. Granted he has made many good moves but in the end he puts way too much value/cap space on skill players and neglects the trenches where games are won and lost.

The Wilf's ultimately are to blame. Ext Spielman and Zim when they had an out has only delayed the inevitable. They also doubled down on stupidity with a 3 year ext which has resulted in Spielman making short timer moves and kicking the salary cap can down the road.

We are currently too top heavy salary wise. This is a business (salary cap) and you can't let your emotions steer the ship. Re-signing Rudy after spending draft capital on Irv wasn't a sound move. I do like Rudy but he is too slow for todays game. Nice RZ target that has only one TD this year. Barr was another guy we simply aren't getting the bang we need for how much he costs. I'm sure that was Zim begging Spielman to sign him (emotion again.

I like Zim but he simply has too many flaws that really get exposed in big games.

Despite their flaws we still have some good talent. But being we are against the cap so hard we'll have to cut players but won't have the luxury of signing any significant FA's and will have to rely on more rookies to fill in next season.
