Talking Points:
This was an overall great team win in all 3 phases of the game. The team was well prepared and played at a high energy level throughout.
Credit to the coaching staff & players Coaches had a well designed game plan and it was executed very well by the players
Players that stood out
Offensive
Cook, looked great and looked faster & stronger than prior to be his injury.
Theilin Mr clutch mad the TD catch at an important time in the game
I can't believe I am saying this but the O-line overall was very good. Especially Bradbury, Klein, Reiff
Defensive
Harris defensive MVP of the game, 2 ints & recovered a fumble
Barr had a monster game blitzing and making plays all over. The best I have seen him play in years
Kendricks palyed well as usuall
Rocky Rhodes played well and smothered WR's all day. Looked 100% better than his last preseason game
Griffin
Joseph
Hunter
Areas of improvement needed
Defensive coaching
Need to spend time with the D-line practicing not jumping off sides. Way to many dumb off sides DL penalties at key times.
Offensive coaching play calling
OC went way overboard with the lop sided run to pass ration. I thought the goal from last year was to be more balanced.
3rd & 4th Qtr play calling was way to conservative trying to sit on a lead playing not to lose. They are paying a QB 28 million a yr, trust him to make a few passing plays in the 3rd & 4th quarters to extend the lead and ice the game. Play to win on offense. This sitting on a lead philosophy will get you beat against good offensive scoring teams like the Pats. Need to improve the pass run ratio to about or around 50% 50%.
Feel free to opine but remember to keep it pithy!
