I think it was the holder, Wile was not a good holder and Colquitt is a really good one.
Colquitt didn’t get a lot of attention when he was signed, but he’s lowkey been the best punter we’ve had since Kluwe in his prime
Carlson was the wrong fall guy.
Carlson sucks in Oakland too.
As for Bailey, he is tied for the 2nd most XP misses this season at 4. The highest is 5 missed. He is 30th in XP %.
His FG% is 7th, however...
His longest attempts have been 3 50 yard FG which he made. Nothing over 50 which puts him at 28th in the NFL for longest FG made. He also has attempted the 20th most FGs, and the 15th most from 50 yards or longer, check that, just 50 yards. Most misses occur from 50 yards plus.
Comparing his year last year to this one:
He missed one more FG 29 yards and under
He was perfect on FG 30-39 yards last year, perfect this year.
He missed 5 of 9 FGs 40-49 last year and 2 of 7 this year ( big improvement here, but still where he is most inconsistent).
He missed 1 more 50+ yarder last year than this, but his longest last year was 52.
He missed 3 fewer extra points last year than this.
If you include extra points, he missed 2 more kicks last year compared to this year.
An improvement for sure, especially on the ones that count for 3 versus 1, but he isn't all that much more accurate.
51-59 versus 60-66. 86% versus 91%.
If Wile was the difference, it was just on a few kicks.
